MGM still bidding for Vivendi Universal assets

Vivendi has reportedly complied with MGM's demand for financial data, as MGM weighs raising its offer for Vivendi's non-music entertainment businesses.

Following the news last week that MGM had demanded financial data from Vivendi Universal in order to proceed with their acquisition bid, word is the French conglom has complied. As previously reported MGM said that if they could get more detailed financial data from Vivendi they might be able to increase their offer for the Universal businesses – adding that if they didn't get the data they might pull out altogether. No news yet on which if the bids to buy Vivendi's non-music entertainment companies is favourite – though rumour has it it's between MGM and Liberty.
