Recording Academy launches best Grammy show vote

The Recording Academy is inviting fans to vote for their favourite Grammy performances, with the top 25 to air in a CBS special on 30 November.

The US Recording Academy is inviting music fans to vote on the best ever Grammy performances.

The Academy have put extracts from the Grammy archives onto a special website this week, including performances from the likes U2, Marvin Gaye, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Diamond, Prince, Beyonce, Madonna and Eminem, from which viewers will be invited to vote for their personal top five.

The most voted for 25 performances will be aired in a special programme called 'My Night At The Grammys' on 30 Nov on US TV network CBS. The show will also feature clips of artists reminiscing about performing at the US's flagship music awards event.

The viewer vote venture is part of attempts by the Recording Academy to build some hype ahead of their awards event's fiftieth anniversary next year.
