Recordings back with Warners

Producer Rick Rubin has reportedly signed a deal with Warner Music that brings his label American Recordings back into the Warner group, working again with Lyor Cohen.

Producer Rick Rubin has reportedly inked a deal with **Warner

Music which will see his label American Recordings** (which counts

Slayer, System Of A Down, The International Noise Conspiracy and the late Johnny Cahs on its roster) moving back into the

Warners fold. American began life as a joint venture with the

Warner group - but has since had relationships with Sony and more recently Universal’s Island Def Jam. The new deal, reported in the New York Post last week, will see Rubin working again with Lyor Cohen who originally crafted the Universal /

American deal when he was running Island Def Jam.
