Signed instruments from New Order, Keane and Basement Jaxx auctioned for lowest bid

Signed instruments from New Order, Keane, Basement Jaxx and Kasabian are being auctioned in aid of Nordoff Robbins, with the lowest unique bid winning, closing on 14 July.

New Order, Keane, Basement Jaxx and Kasabian have all signed instruments for an auction with a difference in aid of the Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy charity. The difference is that the auction winners will be those who have offered the least money, not the most. I had a bit of difficulty understanding how this is going to work, to be honest, but it's something like this; you make your bid in pence via text (each of which costs £1.50 - which is how the money is made for the charity), and if your offer is the lowest bid, and the only bid at that price when the auction closes, the item is yours.

The items on sale, gathered from acts appearing at the O2 Wireless Festival are a signed Squier Stratocaster guitar from Kasabian, a signed Boss DR670 drum machine from New Order, a signed Yamaha DGX200 keyboard from Keane and a signed set of Numark decks and mixer from Basement Jaxx. The competition closes on 14 Jul. There's info on how to enter at http://music.o2.co.uk/featuredevent.html - scroll down to the bottom of the page.
