Slicethepie teams up with Gibson

Slicethepie has partnered with Gibson Guitars to run a search for the best UK guitar band, with a prize of a Les Paul and £15,000 for an album.

Slicethepie, the website which enables musicians to raise money direct from their fans, similar to Sellaband, has announced a new partnership with Gibson Guitars. The site will run a search for the best UK guitar band, with the winner receiving a Gibson Les Paul guitar and £15,000 of funding to record and market an album.

David Courtier-Dutton, Slicethepie founder, said: "We are really excited to have one of the iconic symbols of rock n roll supporting Slicethepie. If funding for a debut album wasn't incentive enough, a Gibson Les Paul guitar should appeal to all guitar bands serious about their art".
