Snoop Dogg to host MTV Europe Music Awards

Snoop Dogg has been announced as host of the MTV Europe Music Awards on 1 November in Germany, with Foo Fighters and Mika set to perform.

Proving that there really is no end to his talents (as if musician, fashion guru and porn director, wasn't enough?) Snoop Dogg has been announced as the host of the MTV Europe Awards, which are set to take place on 1 Nov in Germany. The rapper will take control of the show, which is set to include the Foo Fighters and Mika doing live performances, plus some of the most popular acts in the world attending.

The hip hop legend said: "I've called up the homeys from the East to the West and I guarantee it's gonna be off tha chain, ya dig?" We do dig, Snoop, but only because of the fantastic publicity shots that MTV have released of you in traditional Bavarian dress. Here's hoping that he's sporting some lederhosen on the night.

Talking of MTV Awards, it has been confirmed that Amy Winehouse will not show at next week's VMA awards in the US, where she is nominated in three categories. But presumably you all assumed that would be the case anyway.
