Sony/ATV Music Publishing has announced it has signed up two members of Dirty Pretty Things - guitarist Anthony Rossomando and drummer Gary Powell - to a long-term publishing deal, giving the publishing firm access to no end of guitar chords and, erm, drum beats? Ah, no, access to Rossomando and Powell's share of the Dirty Pretty Things catalogue, and their own songwriting skills.
Confirming the deal, Sony/ATV MD Rakesh Sanghvi told CMU: "We think that Dirty Pretty Things are going to become one of biggest UK acts around and are delighted to have signed Gary and Anthony. They are both talented songwriters in their own right and between them they contribute to a large percentage of the bands current output so it's a great deal for us".
