The Orchard do deal with Pandora

Independent digital aggregator The Orchard has licensed its catalogue to Pandora Media ahead of Pandora's planned UK internet radio launch later this year.

Independent digital aggregator has announced a licensing agreement with Pandora Media, who are preparing to launch a free to access 'tailored to your music tastes' internet radio station over here later this year, having operated in the US since 2005.

Confirming the deal, The Orchard boss Greg Scholl told CMU: "Our relationship with Pandora Media in the UK creates a great new promotion channel for Orchard artists and labels".

Pandora Euro chief Paul Brown added: "Our Orchard agreement really jump-starts Pandora's UK service. The Orchard's large and diverse catalogue ensures more great independent music in the service, which is hugely important to the core discovery aspect of the Pandora listening experience".
