Having been inducted into the UK Music Hall Of Fame last month, U2 are now entering the much more established US Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. They will join The O'Jays, Percy Sledge, The Pretenders and Buddy Guy in being added to the list of music legends at an event in New York on 14 Mar.
The back stage people being added this time round are pioneering rock booker Frank Barsalona and Sire Records founder Seymour Stein. The former worked with acts including Led Zeppelin, The Who and Bruce Springsteen, while Stein was responsible for signing the likes of Madonna, The Ramones and Talking Heads.
