V ten goes down a storm

The tenth V Festival drew around 130,000 fans across its Staffordshire and Essex sites, with 74 arrests in total across the two events.

So, it was the tenth V Festival this weekend, and 130,000 music fans filled the event's two sites in Staffordshire and Essex to see some eighty acts perform, including Franz Ferdinand, The Streets, Kaiser Chiefs, Maroon 5 and Joss Stone. For those that track these things there were 62 arrests at the Staffordshire site and 12 at the Essex event which suggests those Midlanders are much naughtier than the Essex kids (or, I suppose, that Staffordshire police are more diligent, which is very possible). From what we hear Mr Tony Christie went down a storm, as did Oasis and Franz Ferdinand. But we're sure everyone else was great too.
