US mobile firm Verizon Wireless has secured exclusive rights for AC/DC's entire back catalogue through to March next year.
AC/DC are, of course, one of the established bands who have held out making their music available via legitimate digital music platforms, mainly because they do not like selling their albums track by track as most download services demand. Through their deal with Verizon only full album downloads will be available which means that although the arrangement is with a mobile firm most of the content will only be available via their online PC-based download service. The exception is the band's biggest hit 'You Shook Me All Night Long', which will be available for mobile download.
The deal also gives Verizon exclusive rights to ringtones and ringback tones using the band's music.
