Viacom said to be bidding for Last.fm

Rumours suggest Viacom could be close to buying London-based Last.fm, though the company is not in any hurry to sell.

Rumour has it that Viacom might be close to buying London based online music social networking information sharing and recommendation platform Last.fm (still haven't found a good way of describing what they do, I'll work on it over the weekend). Consensus is that Viacom could definitely benefit from the Last.fm's network and user insights, though the online firm aren't in any real urgency to sell, meaning Viacom will have to make a very good offer to secure the company.
