Vital digital partners into Japanese market

Vital/Pias Digital has signed a sales and marketing deal with Tokyo-based Hostess Entertainment to represent labels in Japan's digital market.

Vital/Pias Digital have announced a sales and marketing arrangement with Tokyo based Hostess Entertainment which will allow the UK based independent digital distributor to represent labels in the Japanese market, and to give them access to Japanese digital music services like Recochoku, Oricon, Dwango and Music.jp.

Vital/Pias Director Of Digital & Business Development Adrian Pope said this: "We already have a longstanding relationship with Hostess Entertainment on the physical distribution side of things so they were the natural people to talk to about our Japanese digital requirements. Having the Hostess team on the ground in Japan with their in-depth local market knowledge is really going to help us develop relationships with the key Japanese digital services and will allow us to offer even more value to our new and existing clients".
