Wembley Stadium open for business at last

Wembley Stadium has reopened by hosting the FA Cup Final, clearing the way for this year's music programme including George Michael and Muse concerts and the Live Earth and Diana events.

Well they say wonders will never cease, and sometimes they're right. As you all no doubt saw, the Wembley Stadium actually opened this weekend to host the FA Cup Final. The 2006 Cup Final was, of course, originally due to take place at the revamped Wembley but one delay after another meant that it and a whole string of music events had to be moved to other venues. But with the Cup Final successfully staged at the stadium on Saturday, this year's music programme, including the George Michael and Muse concerts, and the Live Earth and Diana events, are presumably all assured a working home.
