White Stripes seek one album deal in US

White Stripes manager Ian Montone is reportedly seeking a one-album US deal worth several million dollars, with Interscope showing interest after the duo's V2 US relationship ended.

As previously reported, White Stripes manager/attorney Ian Montone is currently shopping around for a new US deal now that the duo's relationship with the US version of V2 is at an end (V2 US, of course, now a catalogue and gospel label). According to HitsDailyDouble, Montone is currently speaking to the majors about a one album deal worth several million dollars, which is quite optimistic if you ask me, but apparently Warners and Universal owned Interscope have both expressed an interest. Jack White's friendship with Interscope founder Jimmy Iovine may well tip the balance in their favour.
