Microsoft have announced a deal with VidZone which will see the indie music aggregator become the exclusive provider of indie music for the IT firms MSN Video service. The deal reportedly gives the MSN music video service access to tracks from an additional 3500 labels. VidZone co-founder Michael Russo told reporters: "MSN doesn't just provide a compelling destination for its users to consume music video content, but the company is also helping the record industry monetise what was seen in the past as a promotional element to drive physical sales".
