Ne-Yo renews Universal deal

Ne-Yo has renewed his global publishing agreement with Universal Music Publishing Group, which chairman David Renzer says reflects his songwriting success.

Ne-Yo has renewed his global publishing agreement with Universal Music Publishing Group. And that's the news, really. Chairman/CEO David Renzer commented: "Ne-Yo has emerged as one of the hottest and most consistent songwriters, as evidenced by his Grammy win for Best Contemporary R&B Album. Not only is he a very talented artist, but his songwriting also finds his touch continually at the top of the charts. And he can make a mean potato kugel".

As we're sure you're aware, Ne-Yo, aka Shaffer Smith, started out as a songwriter, penning tracks for the likes of Celine Dion, Usher, Rihanna, Beyonce, and Mario.
