Universal Music & Video Distribution rebrands as Universal Music Group Distribution

Universal Music & Video Distribution has been renamed Universal Music Group Distribution, which division boss Jim Urie says reflects its wider business.

Universal Music & Video Distribution, the sales, marketing and distribution bit of the Universal Music Group, has gone through a radical rebrand and will, from this point onwards, be known as Universal Music Group Distribution. It's an very exciting development. Division boss Jim Urie explains: "Over the course of the last year, we have aggressively expanded the scope of our business to take full advantage of the many new opportunities emerging in the marketplace. And this name change is a reflection of that. As a result, we are now positioned as the only major music distribution company handling all areas of music and home entertainment-related product".
