Led by duo Charlie Pelling and Mark Thompson, Dirty Nice pull you into their eccentric world of glitch-pop and guitar-driven funky, psychedelic indie, inhabited by a cast of oddball yet loveable cartoon characters.

Known for their self-made animations and music, they’ve created a multi-sensory experience where visuals are just as integral as the hooks. Imagine MGMT’s day-glo pop colliding with The Flaming Lips' psychedelic theatrics, all wrapped in a distinctly British eccentricity.

On their new single, ‘Better If We Don’t’, the duo explores the tangled emotional terrain of rekindling an old flame. With a funky, guitar-driven beat, the track captures that sweet, dangerous familiarity of a past lover, where the thrill of the spark fights with the risk of getting burned.

As the duo puts it: “An old flame returns, stirring feelings long buried. Rekindle the spark and risk the burn, or protect your heart and walk away. The choice is yours”.

It’s a fitting taste of ‘Planet Weekend’, the duo’s upcoming album that promises to further carve out their own unique space in the pop universe - one that’s as effortlessly out-of-this-world as it is entirely relatable.
