Elvis Costello signs new publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing

Elvis Costello has signed an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group covering his back catalogue and future recordings.

Elvis Costello has signed a new, exclusive and worldwide publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group for his entire back catalogue of 27 albums and all future recordings. The company acquired Costello's back catalogue when it bought BMG Music Publishing and this new long term deal will leave Costello's songs in the company's control for the foreseeable future.

Europe and UK UMPG president, Paul Connolly said in a statement: "Elvis Costello is one of the greatest songwriters this country has ever produced and it is quite simply an honor to be working with him. The range and quality of his output over the last 30 years is truly astonishing and I am thrilled that we will be representing both his classic material and his new work".
